9.8.25 Providencia Elementary School Newsletter
Dear Providencia Families,
On Wednesday September 11, I will be making a school-wide Patriot Day morning announcement. We will do the Pledge of Allegiance, have a moment of silence and I will say a few words about the importance of community heroes. If you would like to acknowledge a family member who is a first responder (police, fire department, hospital, etc.), is in retired or active in the military, please click here or the link below. In the spirit of unity, patriotism and service, thank you to all of our community heroes!
Respectfully,
Principal Celeste

A Message from Apex's Mr. T
Hello Providencia Elementary School Families,
This is Mr. T from the Apex team! We’ve been having such a great time teaching your students how to grow as leaders. So far, we’ve learned how to LEVEL UP, that leadership STARTS WITH ME, and the importance of UNDERSTANDING OTHERS.
🌟 Understanding Others is the Key to Great Leadership! 🌟
On Friday students learned leaders take time to listen, care, and think about how others feel. 💬💛
Practicing empathy helps us be better teammates, friends, and problem-solvers.
Let’s Level Up by showing kindness through understanding every day!
We’re also working hard to raise funds for field trips, art programs and more. We’re already nearly halfway to our goal—and we still have one more week to go!
🌟 Weekend Challenge Alert! 🌟
This weekend is a big one: our OUT OF STATE Challenge! The class that collects pledges from the most different states (or countries!) outside of California will win a Pizza Party with the Apex team!🍕 People everywhere can pledge and join this amazing cause! Let’s come together and make a positive impact! 🌍
To help your student participate:
Link your student’s pledge page to support our @apexleadershipcola FUN RUN!
Log in with their access code or QR code.
Use the Share Wizard to quickly send pledge requests to family and friends by entering emails or phone numbers. The system takes care of the rest!

Thurs. 9/11 Volunteer Training @ 5:00 pm
If you are a cleared volunteer and/or plan to become a cleared volunteer to help in the classroom, field trips or upcoming school day events such as Apex Fun Run, Book Fair and ceramics, please attend one of our in-person or virtual volunteer trainings.
School Site Council Members Needed
The School Site Council (SSC) is the group of elected staff and parents/guardians that help develop, evaluate and update Providencia’s Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). SSC members discuss goals and actions to raise the academic performance of all students and provide input on our Comprehensive School Safety Plan.
Our virtual meetings are held once a month on the second or third Mondays of each month from 3:00-4:00 pm, and all are welcome to attend. This year we have 5 open spots on our School Site Council. It is a two-year commitment (unless you are a 5th grade parent, you only need to commit for 1 year). If you are interested in joining the SSC and/or would like to nominate someone, please click on the SSC Nomination Form no later than Sun., Sept. 15. Once names are collected, a voting ballot will be sent out. Thank you!
