Warhawk Culture - Homecoming Week
Homecoming is one of the best times of the year at Westerville Central! Itβs a chance for us to come together as a school community, celebrate the traditions that make WCHS so special, and live out the values of our Warhawk Blueprint.
This week, letβs:
-
Pursue Excellence by giving our best in the classroom, on the field, and in the spirit competitions.
-
Be Better Together by supporting each other, filling the stands, and building connections across our community.
-
Show Respect for All by demonstrating sportsmanship and school pride in everything we do!
Homecoming Week is a celebration of who we are as Warhawks β a chance to showcase our pride, honor our traditions, and strengthen the spirit that makes Central such a special place.
WINGS UP and GO HAWKS!
Mrs. Sayre
Principal
Our Warhawk Blueprint outlines what we believe, how we behave and outcomes we hope to achieve together at WCHS. These beliefs are our guidepost that provide alignment in all we do.

Over the years, they have purchased things like graphing calculators, smart TVs, whiteboards & markers, extracurricular program supplies, supplies for Hope Squad, t-shirts for Freshman First Flight, thousands of dollars in Senior scholarships, and the list goes on!
To pay for these programs, they are hosting the Westerville Central Arts & Crafts Market on Saturday, October 25th. They will need volunteers, raffle items, baked goods, and more to help make this event a success!

School Clinic
Hello Warhawk Families,
I hope you and your students have had a great start back to the school year! I am happy to have them back in the building and have enjoyed catching up on their summers.
A couple of reminders as we approach the Fall season...
Parents of Seniors
Please make sure to get your studentβs Meningitis booster if you have not already done so. If this is already scheduled please reach out to me and let me know when your appointment is. Immunizations can be done at annual well visits, local health departments, or a pharmacy clinic. Ohio School Immunization Requirements
Illness Procedures
If your student is sick and needs to leave school, they are required to come to the clinic and then sign out through attendance. Please keep your child home if they have a fever of 100.1 or higher, are vomiting, have symptoms of pink eye (itchy, watery, redness, pain, drainage), skin rashes/ blisters, or any other symptoms that keep them from fully participating in their school day. Students can return when they are fever free for 24 hours without using medication and symptoms have improved.
Medications
If your child will need daily or as needed/ emergency medications kept at school, or if they self carry any medications, updated documentation is required each school year. All forms and other clinic information and resources can be found on the Health Services page on the district website.
