Easter's Coming! ๐Ÿฃ

Dear Falcon Families,

As we head into the final week before Spring Break and Easter, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and partnership. It's hard to believe, but when we return, weโ€™ll have just five weeks left in the school year!

This final stretch will be a busy one, with a full month of end-of-year testing, culminating projects, and exciting end-of-year events. Please make sure your student is getting plenty of rest, eating well, and showing up on time so they can do their best.

We hope you and your loved ones have a restful, safe, and joyful Spring Break. Whether you're traveling, spending time with family, or just relaxing at home, we hope this time gives everyone a chance to recharge.

We'll see you back on campus Monday, April 28, 2025, ready to finish strong!

Warmly,

Miss Hoang

Have a Hoppy Easter! ๐Ÿ‡

โฌฅ Want to build the knowledge, skills, and attitude to become a better leader?

โฌฅ Want to connect with like-minded peers and work on projects to build youth power?

If you said yes to any of the above: apply for Critical Connections Summer, a free 4 week social justice leadership summer program that connects young people to build youth power and work towards social justice solutions that transform our communities!

Program Format

โฌฅ The 4 week program runs from July 2 to July 24. We will meet 2 days a week, Wednesday and Thursday, from 10:30 AM-3 PM (lunch will be provided!). Participants should also reserve the afternoon of Saturday, July 19 for an in-person community event (subject to change).

โฌฅ Sessions will occur entirely in person at the SBYC office in East San Jose. Support for transportation to and from the office is available.

  • Practice hands-on leadership skills

  • Build a supportive community with like-minded youth

  • Receive personalized mentorship and leadership development

  • Organize an action project

Who should apply?

All Santa Clara County high school students (current high schoolers, or 8th graders entering high school) are welcome to apply for this program! As an Asian American organization, we will center Asian American experiences in our program, but all high school students are welcome. No previous skills or experience is required to apply.

Meaningful Easter Traditions to Add to Your Family's Holiday

Meaningful Easter Traditions to Add to Your Family's Holiday

Ah, Easter Sunday. For hundreds of years, followers of Christian and Catholic faiths have closed out Lent by attending church services and gathering with friends and family for spring-inspired celebrations. There are many classic Easter traditions you can incorporate into how you mark the holiday, and this year we suggest celebrating with a nod to the past.
