๐ฃ Principalโs Message
What a weekend!
Thank you to the nearly 200 people who came out to Battle of the Bands on Saturday. What an incredible display of what community meansโand has always meantโto Lipscomb Elementary. From alumni to former parents to neighborhood families, it was powerful to see so many faces in the crowd whose connection to Lipscomb remains strong, even without current students. Your continued support is part of what makes this place special.
If you couldnโt make it this year, you definitely missed outโbut weโre already looking forward to an even bigger celebration next time!
Weโre also thrilled to share that the Lipscomb House System is is officially here (more details below). This is a new chapter in campus culture, and we invite you to join us as we weave it into the heart of our school.
A reminder that registration for the 2025โ2026 school year opens this Tuesday for all students Pre-K through 5th grade.
Letโs keep building together.
- Principal Carter

White Rock Spring Games
The White Rock Spring Games, presented by Comerica Bank, are back.
Comerica Bank has been a major sponsor for Lipscomb this year, and theyโre showing up big againโthis time as the official sponsor of our Ninja Nation Obstacle Course on May 9th! They were also a top donor at this year's Battle of the Bands. Letโs show up, show out, and represent our school with pride in front of a partner who continues to invest in our students.
The White Rock Spring Games, which over the past ten years has brought thousands of East Dallas families together to raise almost $300,000 for local schools, returns again this spring to Bishop Lynch High School on Sunday, May 4th for another exciting afternoon of fun and friendly competition. Four-person teams from Grades K thru 5 will compete in five different events and help to raise money for their respective schools.
Registration fees for each 4-member team is $120 (but Lipscomb will be covered!) , all of which will be directed to the parentsโ association of the participantโs school.
Lipscomb Receives Major New Grant!

New ASPIRE Award ๐
Weโre proud to recognize a group of outstanding staff members who have been nominated for the 2025-2026 ASPIRE award. These individuals go above and beyond each day to serve our students, support their colleagues, and represent the heart of William Lipscomb Elementary.
The House System is Here!
๐ Introducing the House System at Lipscomb
Weโre thrilled to share that William Lipscomb Elementary is launching the House System, inspired by the Ron Clark Academy! This dynamic model is designed to build community, strengthen student leadership, and promote a positive school culture rooted in belonging and pride.
Each student and staff member has been be placed into one of our school โhouses,โ creating a smaller family within the larger schoolโwhere every child has a crew and a cause.
Throughout the year, students will earn points for their house by demonstrating excellence in academics, character, school spirit, and kindness. House-specific events, leadership opportunities, and friendly competition will keep the momentum goingโand yes, families will have chances to participate too! The goal isnโt just to win points, but to lift each other up and celebrate what makes our school community strong. We canโt wait to see the impact this will have across our campus!
