A Message from Ms. Becco
Good morning, Falcon Families
Today is the final day of the Fall Dental Clinic for October. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get to all the students who have signed up. We will let you know when they will return to service those children that did not get seen. I also want to give a huge thanks to our volunteers who assisted in escorting our students to their dental appointments and providing some reassurance to those who need some. Mrs. Baishnab, Mrs. Tanjina, Mrs. Cortes and Mr. Bozer. Thank you so much.
WORLD FINEST CHOCLATES! Today may have been our scheduled deadline for the sale, but we still have close to 100 boxes left to sell. The holidays are soon upon us. Perhaps chocolates will make a tasty treat for loved one. The donation is $60 a box. Thank you in advance for your support.

Requesting a Device/Returning a Device
Many families have inquired about receiving a NYC DOE device. During the pandemic, and the shift to remote learning, the DOE offered central devices. Students who received these devices take them to the next school, IF THEY REMAIN IN A NYC PUBLIC SCHOOL. If students transfer our of a NYC Public School, they are returned to the school and put back into circulation.
Currently, we have reissued any devices we have, but can request devices from Central DOE. The guidance we received is to collect the names of any students who would like to request a device and submit it to Central, as we do not have any inventory of Central devices. This is for students who have not received a device prior. This is for new requests.
If you would like to request a Central Device, please contact Ms. Becco.
Safety Guideline from Mr. Daliposki
October 12,2023
Dear Families,
Our top priority is the safety and well-being of every student and staff member in our school community. As the conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate and we are seeing increased news coverage of social media posts promoting violence, I am writing to provide you with information on how we are monitoring the events and to share some resources that may be helpful for you in discussion with your children.
First, please be reassured that the New York City Police Department (NYPD) actively monitors social media sites and threats of violence. We remain in constant communication with NYPD, and currently, there are no specific threats against our schools.
In times of great upheaval and uncertainty, it is easy for fear and rumors to flourish. It is important that students are equipped with the tools they need to discern fact from fiction. We encourage you to visit schools.nyc.gov/digitalcitizenship for more information on how to support your child in building their skills in media literacy and safe online behaviors.
We are committed to always providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for our students. Additional resources supporting thoughtful instruction and students’ mental health in the face of disturbing current events can be found at schools.nyc.gov/currentevents.
I urge all members of our school community to explore these resources, lean on one another, and continue to engage in open dialogue. Together, we can navigate these challenging times.
Sincerely,
Kujtim Daliposki
Principal

Resetting your child's Google password tutorial
Resetting your child’s Google Classroom Email Password.
Go to the Department of Education website: schools.nyc.gov
Scroll down to the Technology for Families section and click onto STUDENT tab.
You will then click onto the menu option: Resetting your child’s password and then under that will be the instructions to create a pin for the account.
You will need your child’s osis number and you can get that from your child’s teacher or even the main office. Ms. Becco can give it to you also, just email her at sbecco@schools.nyc.gov.
After you’ve changed the password and created a pin, you can go back to the homepage and click onto teachhub on the top right side of the toolbar. You may or may not have to sign on again.
Remember the username is everything before the @ symbol in the email address and the password is case sensitive.
Once you get into the teachhub, you may not see much, and if that is the case, you should then click on the heading that includes your child’s grade, next to the Welcome.
You will then see a host of apps that your child may need access to, for example: Google Classroom, Zoom, Google Meet, Gmail, etc.
