You're Invited to a Parent Coffee Chat, Friday, December 12 at 9:00am

Whole Child Supports: Please come for a Parent Coffee Chat on Friday, December 12th following Community Circle in the Media Center. You will learn about Glennwood’s overarching framework for whole child supports. We will cover GaMTSS, which is our tiered system of academic, behavioral, and well-being supports for students. This also includes attendance procedures. Additionally, there will be a short presentation on identifying misbehavior as communication. There will be coffee and treats to enjoy. If you are unable to attend, this will be recorded and shared.

Hi Parents –Glennwood is participating in a very special community service program to raise funds for the American Heart Association. We’re joining in the fight against our nation’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke.

This month, our school will hold our Kids Heart Challenge event. This program helps students learn about the benefits of regular physical activity and heart health, but also teaches the value of giving back to those in need. Heart disease affects many families in our community, so your support means a lot!

  • Your student will earn their lifesaving Heart Heroes thank you gifts, which they met at kickoff, on Fridays.
  • This program runs from December 1-December 19.
  • Be sure to register online here!
  • Complete Finn’s Mission online to receive a superhero cape and be sure to share with friends and family that your student is participating, for their chance to earn mystery gifts.
  • Glennwood Elementary’s goal is to raise $3,000 and see 60 students registered online, taking a heart-healthy challenge! Together, we can make a BIG IMPACT!
  • This program is completely optional! Don’t let your child pressure you into committing to participating if you do not want to. :)
