Linden Elementary Updates
November

Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we wrap up October and welcome November, I find myself reflecting on just how much we have to be thankful for at Linden Elementary!
First, thank you to everyone who participated in our fall Parent Teacher Conferences. Taking time out of your busy schedules to connect with teachers, celebrate growth, and work together on next steps is a wonderful example of the partnership that makes our school community so special.
November is the perfect time to embrace an attitude of gratitude! At Linden Elementary, we have so much to appreciate. We are grateful for our dedicated staff who give so much of themselves each day, our students who bring energy, curiosity, and joy into our classrooms, and our families who support and encourage us along the way. Even on the busiest and most challenging days, there is always something worth celebrating!
As we head into the holiday season, I encourage you to help your children notice the little things that deserve a big thank you. A kind word, a helping hand, a thoughtful gesture, or simply recognizing someone else's efforts can make a tremendous difference. Gratitude is more than saying thank you. It's a way of seeing and appreciating the good around us, and it's something we can all practice a little more each day.
Please know how genuinely thankful I am for the trust you place in us and the many ways you contribute to our school community. We may not get every moment exactly right, but we share a commitment to doing what is best for children, learning together, and making Linden Elementary a place where everyone feels valued and cared for.
There is so much good happening within our school walls, and so much of it begins with the people who make up our Linden Elementary family. For that, I am truly grateful!
With gratitude,
Jeannine Strickert

HALLOWEEN
We will be celebrating Halloween on Friday, October 30th. There will be a parade in the Parent Pick Up/Drop Off Loop in front of Linden Elementary. The parade begins at 2:15 pm. Parents can begin lining up outside at 2:00 pm. In the event of rain, the parade will be brought indoors to the Gym. Please refer to teacher communication regarding individual classroom party details. The students should bring their costumes to school in a bag or backpack with their name on it. Swords, wands, brooms, masks, weapons, makeup, fake blood, or inappropriate masks should be avoided and kept at home. All visitors will need an iChat on file by October 29th. There will be sign-in sheets for visitors to sign in by classroom. All students are required to be signed out by their classroom teacher.

🎄 Christmas Express: Sharing the Spirit of Giving!
Linden Elementary is excited to once again support the Christmas Express, a wonderful community tradition organized by the Presbyterian Church to help local families during the holiday season!
This year, Linden Elementary has been asked to collect boxes of Kleenex (facial tissues) to help fill the Christmas Express baskets. Each school in our district is collecting a different household essential, and together we can make a meaningful difference for families in our community.
We invite our Linden El families to join us in spreading a little extra kindness and generosity this holiday season! Please send in donations of Kleenex by Friday, December 11.
What a wonderful opportunity to show our children that even the simplest acts of giving can make a big difference. Thank you for helping our Eagles SOAR with kindness and an attitude of gratitude! ❤️

News from Nurse Danielle Loynes
As we head into November and the colder months ahead, Nurse Danielle shares some helpful reminders to keep our Linden Eagles healthy and ready to learn! From preventing the spread of germs and building healthy habits to knowing when to keep your child home, a little prevention goes a long way. Be sure to check out this month's Nurses News for important reminders, including epilepsy awareness and head lice prevention, as we work together to keep our school community healthy!
A Word from Officer Williams
Safety Reminder from Linden Elementary
Keeping our students safe is always our top priority, and our dismissal procedures play an important role in making that happen!
Please remember to display your student pickup placard in your front windshield each day. If you walk to school to pick up your child, please bring your placard with you as well. While many of our staff recognize familiar faces, we occasionally have new staff members or staff serving in different roles. Consistently displaying your placard helps ensure that every staff member can confidently release students to their authorized adults.
We also encourage families to use the designated pickup loop whenever possible. This helps reduce congestion, particularly near the building exits as students make their way to the front benches for dismissal.
These simple procedures make a big difference! By following them consistently, we reinforce our shared commitment to student safety and ensure that every child is released to the appropriate adult.
Thank you for your cooperation and partnership in keeping our Linden Eagles safe!
