A message from Dr. Gerault
Dear Fiest Families,
What a wonderful start to the school year we have had! Our halls and classrooms are filled with learning, laughter, and the excitement of a new year. As we begin to settle into our routines, we are so proud of the way our students are learning, growing, and showing what it means to be a Fiest Bear!
We hope you will join us for Fiest Bear Roar & Explore, an opportunity for families to learn more about all of the fabulous things happening every day at Fiest Elementary. This is a wonderful chance to visit your child’s classroom, hear about the exciting learning taking place, and discover ways we can partner together to make this a successful year for your child.
September 1 for Grades 2–5
September 8 for ECSE, PK, Kindergarten, 1st grade & Life Skills
Roar & Explore: 6:00–7:00 p.m.
We also invite you to arrive early for two important opportunities to learn and provide your feedback:
5:30 p.m. – CFISD Bond Information
Join us to learn more about the proposed CFISD Bond, which will be on the ballot this November.
5:45 p.m. – Title I & Home/School Agreement
We will share information about how Fiest receives and uses Federal Title I funding and invite families to provide feedback on our Home/School Agreement.
Your partnership and involvement make a tremendous difference in the success of our students and our school community. We are excited about all that lies ahead and look forward to seeing our Fiest families throughout September!
Thank you for helping make Fiest Elementary such a special place to learn and grow. Bears ROAR, Eagles SOAR...WE ARE ONE!

PBIS
Our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program is off to a wonderful start! Students are learning what it looks like and sounds like to be a Fiest Bear by making positive ROAR choices:
R – Be Respectful
O – Take Ownership
A – Be Accountable
R – Be Reliable
Our teachers and staff are spending time teaching, modeling, practicing, and celebrating these expectations across our school. Click here to view expectations. We are excited to see our students making positive choices and showing their ROAR each day! We are implementing PBIS Rewards as a school wide incentive. Ask your child how many points they have and what they can redeem them for in their class. Each teacher has a menu of options such as but not limited to: treasure box, stinky feet (shoes off), bringing a stuffed animal to school, lunch with a friend, etc.
Thank you for partnering with us and supporting our school expectations at home. When we work together, we create a positive, predictable, and safe learning environment where every Fiest Bear can be successful.
