Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well and that you had a great holiday break and your new year has begun on a positive note.
As we approach the end of the second quarter, I wanted to remind you that January 11th marks the conclusion of this term. Our students have shown incredible dedication and commitment, and I'm proud of their efforts.
Please note that there will be no school for students on January 12th, as it is designated as a teacher work day. On this day, our educators will be using this time for professional development and planning to ensure an enriching experience for our students in the upcoming quarter. There is also no school on January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Your continued support and involvement in your child's education are greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

End of the Quarter and Grades
January 11th marks the end of 2nd quarter. Final grades will be available to view on Progressbook on January 19th.
After School Homework Help
MVMS offers after school homework help from 2:40 - 4:00 on most Tuesday and Thursdays. While we call it homework help, students are able to bring any work or assignment that they need support on from their classes and there are teachers available to offer support. The full schedule of dates the homework help is offered is below. For those that need transportation home from homework help, there is a bus that takes students to the Learning Center, East, Pleasant Street, Dan Emmett, and Columbia.

Feb. - 1, 6, 8, 13, 22, 27, 29
March - 5, 7, 12, 14, 19
April - 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
May - 2, 7, 9, 14, 16
No School January 12th - January 15th
There will be no school for students on January 12th for a teacher work day and January 15th for observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

You can order your 2023-24 yearbook now through February 16. The cost for the yearbook is $16. Click here to order online. Paper order forms are also available in the office.
MVMS Robotics Tournament - January 12th
MVMS is hosting a VEX Robotics Tournament on January 12th at Energy Fieldhouse. Qualifying matches begin at 9 AM. Come out to support our students as they take on teams from around the state and compete to earn a spot in the state tournament!
MVMS Athletic Update

Forms and Fees
Please access the OneView Parent Portal to complete and/or update student forms. The Accessible Use Policy (AUP) and updated Emergency Medical Form (EMF) must be completed prior to your student being issued a Chromebook from the school. If you come in during school hours, Sherry Alexander would be happy to help you get logged in and completed. You can also email her at salexander@mvcsd.us or call 740-392-6867, ext 5906.
Updated school fees have been posted and payments can be made through Pay For It, or by stopping in the office to pay in person.
