Happy Sunday!

We had a great week at Pingree! Students got to play Gaga Ball in gym, created art inspired by Jen Stark in art class and had fun dressing for St. Patrick's Day. Check out Mr. Tony! He is our picture of the week!

This week is a busy one! On Tuesday, grades 3-5 will be testing out their computers to be sure they are MCAS ready! On Wednesday, Grade 5 will be visiting the Planetarium. Ms. Marcella has been getting them ready, learning all about space. Thursday is class picture day, so please be sure students arrive on time. We don't want anyone missing their class picture.

Pingree students also beat out Talbot last week in our ST Math Madness competition! We are expecting a close race against Nash this week.

In-person conferences will take place on the evening of Tuesday, April 4th from 5-8 pm, and virtual conferences will take place during the afternoon of Wednesday, April 5th from 12:25-3:25 pm. Teachers will be sending parents links tomorrow to sign up for either Tuesday evening or Wednesday afternoon. It is so important that we work together to support our students. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at conferences.

Finally, MCAS is less than 3 weeks away. Our students have been working so hard and are excited to show all they have learned. Please remind students that there are no electronic devices allowed during testing including cell phones and smart watches. We know a lot of families are feeling financial strain these days. Below is a link to our Pop Up Pantry calendar. Families can get food on a weekly basis, no questions asked and no reporting. Tuesday's are drive through (nice and quick and easy for folks with kids in the car), Thursday and Saturday are walk-in. We also have a Portuguese translator available on Saturdays.

Given the recent spike in homelessness and housing instability the district has seen, we are partnering with NeighborWorks Housing Solutions to do an informational night for families on finding affordable housing and resources. The presentation will take place on March 7th at 7 pm via GoogleMeet.
