CA Mid-SummerUpdateJuly 2021

Message from Principal Miller

Hello to All. I hope this Mid Summer Update finds you well and enjoying summer. The weather has not been ideal but the breaks of sunshine have been a warm welcome. We have had a busy summer at CA. Summer School is winding down with 1 week to go and the Summer Recreation Program has been a great way to transition students back into social settings. I have been working closely with the MS Staff to ensure a smooth opening to the 21-22 school year. In a few weeks, our first KinderCamp will open and we will be hosting tours for our incoming 5th graders on August 25th (more information below).

During the week of August 23rd, families will receive in the mail important information regarding the upcoming school year and the date when students can access the parent portal for class schedules/teacher information. New families will receive information on how to access the parent portal in this mailing. Be sure ALL information in the portal is up-to-date. This is how we access contact information in the event of an emergency. Link HERE to access the portal.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the main offices.

MS Grade 5 Tours

On Wednesday, August 25th, the middle school building will be open allowing all incoming fifth graders to visit the building. Guided tours are scheduled for 9am, 11am,1pm, and 2pm; tours typically run for about one hour. The school will also be open for self guided tours between 8am and 3pm on that same date. Students should report directly to the MS main lobby to sign in for a self-guided or guided tour with Ms. Schultz, the grade 5-6 school counselor.

Going for Green

School's Out but one student kept on going. A BIG SHOUT OUT to third grader Jesse Purdy. He got his green light on January 28th and is now a MATHLETE by mastering his multiplication and division facts to ten. Way to go Jesse!

Great Find: Bedtime Math

Link HERE to a FREE weekly math question for students of all ages. For previous posts, link here. It's fun, integrates other content areas and keeps students thinking math all summer long. Example post below. Answers are provided too.
