Summit Hill Elementary
March - Fly on the Wall
Message from Principal Aronow
Summit Hill Families!
Spring is here, and that means we are entering one of the busiest and most exciting times of the school year! As we head into March, April, and May, our calendar is full of learning opportunities, celebrations, and end-of-year events. Please be sure to review the important dates included in this newsletter so you don’t miss a thing. The final months always go quickly, and we have many special activities planned for our students.
Car Line Safety Reminder
The safety of our students is always our top priority. Recently, we have noticed cars traveling too fast in the arrival and dismissal lines, as well as drivers using cell phones while in the school zone. We kindly ask that you:
-
Drive slowly and follow all posted speed limits.
-
Remain alert and focused while in the car line.
-
Refrain from using cell phones while driving in the school zone.
Please remember that Texas Transportation Code Section 545.425 prohibits the use of wireless communication devices in active school zones. These laws are in place to protect children, families, and staff. Even a moment of distraction can have serious consequences. Thank you for helping us keep every child safe.
Easter Class Parties
We are looking forward to celebrating with our students! Easter class party sign-ups will:
-
Open: March 9
-
Close: March 25 at 3:00 p.m.
-
Class Parties: April 2
Be sure to sign up within the window if you plan to attend. Due to campus procedures, we are unable to accommodate late sign-ups.
As always, thank you for your partnership and support. The end of the school year is filled with milestones, celebrations, and achievements, and we are grateful to work alongside such a supportive community. Let’s finish the year strong together!
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out at 903-745-4100 or at Aronow.Rebecca@HoweISD.net. Thank you for partnering with us on this journey of growth!
Warm regards,
Rebecca Aronow
