Deerfield News and Notes

Your children impress me every day. They are kind, friendly, funny, and hark-working. Our teachers have been introducing and practicing procedures with students. Children thrive when they understand exactly what is expected of them. At Deerfield, we expect our students to do the right thing and treat people the right way. I observe our students doing this every day. Parents, be proud! Their behavior is a reflection of the hard work you do with them at home. Thank you! We can accomplish so much more while at school each day when our students come to school ready to work and learn.

Thank you for taking time to read a few updates and reminders below about upcoming September events at Deerfield.

We will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences during the weeks of September 16th-30th, with evening hours available on September 17th and 22nd. Your child should bring home a sign-up form from his or her teacher on Friday. Please take a look at this paper, respond with times that are the best fit for your schedule, and return this form to school by Wednesday, September 9th.

Preschool is off to a great start! We have been busy working on classroom procedures, getting acclimated to school routines, and learning all about ourselves. We have enjoyed learning the alphabet song, and look forward to beginning to learn our letters next month.
