Hello Nash Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed a fantastic weekend! Just a quick reminder that there will be no school on Monday, November 11th, in observance of Veteran's Day. The staff at Nash School would like to express our gratitude to the veterans from our community and beyond for their invaluable service to our country. Weymouth will host a parade on Monday to honor our veterans. Additionally, we have parent conferences scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, with Wednesday being a half day due to these conferences. Please remember to sign up, and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
Wishing you a lovely evening,
Mrs. McDevitt
Thomas V Nash
Our school is named after Thomas V. Nash, Jr., born on December 11, 1915; he attended and graduated from Weymouth Public Schools. During his school years he had an impressive athletic career in football and wrestling. He went on to Mt. Hermon and also attended Brown University where he played football. Mr. Nash was considered "one of the most feared men on Eastern gridirons." He also achieved the status of All-American in football.
Mr. Nash graduated from Brown with a B.A. in English and Education in 1940. He entered the Army Air Corps and was accepted as an Aviation Cadet in December of 1941. He was commissioned a lieutenant on January 3, 1943. His plane was lost in action on July 28, 1943. The Nash School was named in Thomas V. Nash, Jr.'s honor in the 1950s.

Back Pack Program with Weymouth Food Pantry
To ensure students have access to
food over the weekend...
Teachers and staff will pack a food bag for participating
students and place it in their locker on Friday morning.
Bags include items such as juice boxes, granola bars,
mac & cheese cups, goldfish crackers, and milk. The
menu will vary weekly. Children can pick up their
backpack bag when they leave school on Friday. These
bags are free, open to all students, and sponsored by
