Closing Strong Together
Mustang Messenger Volume 16
Mustang Families,
As we move into the final month of the school year, we want to take a moment to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our families for the incredible outpouring of love, appreciation, and support shown during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. From kind notes and thoughtful gestures to donations, treats, messages, and words of encouragement — every act of kindness was deeply appreciated and did not go unnoticed.
Our Minadeo staff felt celebrated all week long, and it served as a powerful reminder of the strong partnership we share with our families and community. Minadeo families are truly some of the best around, and we are grateful for the continued support you show our students, staff, and school.
As we enter this busy final stretch filled with field trips, celebrations, performances, parent engagement events, and end-of-year learning experiences, we encourage families to continue partnering closely with us to ensure students finish the year strong. Consistent attendance, communication with teachers, completion of assignments, and reinforcement of PRIDE expectations remain critically important as we close out the year together.
We are looking forward to the many exciting opportunities ahead and appreciate your continued partnership in helping make Minadeo such a special place for students to learn and grow. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or support needs.
Thank you for being part of the Mustang community! ❤️💙
Principal Mason
As we continue...

Bring a Special Person to School Day – “Drafted for Success”
We are excited to welcome families to Bring a Special Person to School Day on Friday, May 15! This year’s “Drafted for Success” theme is designed to strengthen family-school partnerships while creating engaging opportunities for students and their special guests to connect around literacy, math, social-emotional learning, leadership, and Minadeo PRIDE expectations.
Throughout the morning, students and their special person will participate in NFL Draft-inspired activities, interactive learning stations, trivia competitions, and family engagement opportunities connected to our school goals and student success.
To help ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for all families due to space limitations, we are asking that each student bring only ONE special person to attend the event. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this expectation as we work to create the best possible experience for everyone.
May SEL Theme: Resilience & Perseverance
This month, students at Minadeo will focus on the social-emotional learning themes of Resilience and Perseverance. Throughout the school day, students will engage in conversations and activities centered around overcoming challenges, learning from mistakes, staying positive during difficult moments, and continuing to work toward goals even when things feel hard.
Families can support this work at home by encouraging conversations with their child about:
- A challenge they recently overcame
- How they handle frustration or disappointment
- Times when they kept trying even when something was difficult
- The importance of effort, growth, and positive self-talk
Building resilience and perseverance helps students develop confidence, independence, and the mindset needed for long-term success both inside and outside of the classroom.
