A message from me...

Good Afternoon!

A short and disrupted week with the weather. While it is not unusual or unexpected, we know it creates some difficulty in the routines of everyone! Next week is a great chance to get back into the rhythm of the quarter.

A helpful suggestion is to be a little more attentive than normal to assignments and updates. The lack of routine does impact all students differently and having a little extra support is not a bad thing. If you are in need of assistance please do not hesitate to reach out to the teachers directly.

Have a great weekend!

Mike

Infinite Campus Parent Portal Absence Reporting is LIVE!

We’re excited to announce that the new Absence Request tool in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal is now available for families at Jerome High School, Eversole Run Middle School, and Abraham Depp Elementary!

This tool offers a faster, more efficient way to report student absences, whether you’re using a desktop computer or the Parent Portal app on your mobile device. No more waiting on hold or searching for email addresses—just a few clicks, and your student’s absence is reported.

Here’s how to use the Absence Request tool:

  1. Log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account.

  2. Select your child’s profile.

  3. Navigate to More, then Absence Request.

  4. Fill in the required information, including the date and reason for the absence.

  5. Submit your request.

This pilot program is part of our commitment to improving convenience for families and efficiency for schools. If successful, we hope to roll out the Absence Request tool across all Dublin City Schools in the future. Thank you for helping us test this exciting new feature! Your feedback will play an important role in shaping its success. For detailed instructions, visit the Absence Request Guide.

By the numbers, Fun Facts:

  • 127 Jerome students participated in a regional event. Depending on event guidelines, the event is either tested-only, tested and presentation, presentation-only, or a skills-based performance.
  • 122 of those students placed in the Top 10 in the Region
  • 99 of those students placed in the Top 4, qualifying them for the States in April
  • Jerome placed 1st in 23 different events
  • Results would be too long to include in this blurb so a spreadsheet is linked.

Congratulations to all these students on a successful competition!!
