6th and 7th Grade Science Fair
Our annual 6th and 7th Grade Science Fair is next week Friday, May 23rd, from 4-6PM in the Cafeteria! Come out to see all of the incredible work our students have done this week learning about the scientific method, developing their own hypotheses, testing them, examining and presenting the data for you!
Latine Curriculum Town Hall
Join El Puente for a Town Hall this Thursday to hear from community members and develop a Latine curriculum alongside United Way, Teachers College, and the Hispanic Federation that is inclusive, relevant, and impactful. Please see the flyers below for information and FAQs about the event. We hope to see you there!
Pep Rally Next Monday
Next week Monday we will have the Pep Rally and Student vs. Staff Basketball Game after school from 2:40-4:00PM! All students are invited to come watch this exciting event.
Congrats Matilda Cast!
Bravo to the incredible cast and crew of Matilda Jr. who put on 4 great shows this past weekend! Thank you to everyone who came out to the shows and to the more than 800 elementary students who came on Friday and Monday during the school day. Stay tuned for more photos on the website soon and a recording of the performance!
Magnet Grant Survey
We are proud to be the Magnet School for Debate and Youth Leadership! This federal grant helps us to ensure our students have access to all of the incredible programs and supports our students use every day. This survey provides you with an opportunity to share your feedback and satisfaction with our Magnet program. The survey is brief and should take only a few minutes to complete. Please note, the initial page of the survey has a dropdown in the upper right corner which gives choice of preferred language. Complete the survey online today!

PTA Updates
May PTA Meeting
Thank you to everyone who came out to Champions Dinner last week Thursday! We had a great time breaking bread together while reflecting on the successes of the last year and planning for the year to come.
Volunteer at an Event
Interested in volunteering at an upcoming event? We have slots open and would love for you to help sell snacks and popcorn! Please sign up online. We are also collecting donation of items and experiences for an auction at the Champions Dinner in May! You can complete the same form to let us know if there is something you would like to donate.
Fundraiser Donations
May is going to be a busy month at MS 50 with the Spring Band Concert, the D14 Elementary Debate Tournament and more! This is a great fundraising opportunity for the PTA and we would love to re-stock our snack table in advance of these events. You can purchase items on the Amazon wish list linked below and they will be sent directly to school! These donations will also be used to support the spring dance with snack options!
