WHAT IS...The Student Newsletter?
By Olivia Levesque
The student newsletter is a group of kids who come together every week and work together to produce a newsletter with lots of sections and information about clubs interests and hobbies. Some of the sections that will be on the weekly or bi-weekly newsletters are riddles, poems, crafts, national days, fun facts, weekend action, books, fantasy football and the what is. The what is… part of the newsletter will be a section about a random thing that most people probably don’t know about, some of the past what is… have been what is cheese, what is Halloween, what is neurodiversity, and what is Disney. The student newsletter will also have interviews with people at the middle school. Another section of the newsletter will be the kindness corner. If you witness a friend doing a kind action, you can put it into the Google form that will be sent out, and it will be premiered in the newsletter.

RIDDLE ME THIS
By Maddy Davis
Q. You measure my life in hours and I serve you by expiring. I’m quick when I’m thin and slow when I’m fat. The wind is my enemy.
Q. I have cities, but no houses. I have mountains, but no trees. I have water, but no fish. What am I?
Q. What is seen in the middle of March and April that can’t be seen at the beginning or end of either month?
Q. You see a boat filled with people. It has not sunk, but when you look again you don’t see a single person on the boat. Why?
5. Q. What English word has three consecutive double letters?
WEEKEND ACTION
By Daniel Burgess & Annalise Alaire

First, you could do our creative crafts on a rainy Sunday! Perfect timing to stay home, chill, and if you're bored, do some crafts! For Saturday ( yes I know we are going out of order) you should be staying active! Try to go to a trampoline park, go on a walk, or even walk our own trail through the school! It would be a perfect day since its cloudy and cool. If you're looking for fun puzzles or events, your in luck! At the Norwell Public Library, there is an October Puzzle Challenge Saturday, October 11, 10:30 AM-12:00PM. Fantasy Football Updates by Sam Puleo
These updates provided by Yahoo! Sports
What is Fantasy Football?
Fantasy football is a game where players act as virtual general managers, creating "dream teams" from real NFL players who are then given fantasy points based on their performance in actual games. Managers participate in a draft to select players, then compete against other teams in their league by setting weekly lineups and trading players to gain the most points and win a championship.
QB picks
Kyler Murray, Cardinals at Colts
Kyler keeps blaming others for the Cardinals' offensive troubles but had they finished strong with him taking over against the Titans, they would not have lost. The Colts' defense is feeling it with Lou Anarumo and will have a tough game plan ready to contain him overall at home.
Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars vs. Seahawks
Lawrence might be the worst of the QBs who have started 4-1, and I don't hold out too much hope for him against a praised Seattle secondary. This could get ugly, as he already has five interceptions and three games under 13.7 fantasy points on the hjuytyt. 7yiuu season.
Justin Fields, Jets vs. Broncos
Fields had a great matchup against the Cowboys and looked awful for most of the game. A couple of garbage-time scores helped him finish. However, in Week 6, he'll travel to London and face a tough Broncos defense that allows just 13 fantasy points per game.
TOP FANTASY PICKUPS: Week 6
RB fantasy bust picks this week
Derrick Henry, Ravens vs Rams
Ever since his fantastic Week 1 fantasy performance, Henry has been terrible. Henry has not scored more than 10 points in each of the last 2 weeks. In Week 6, the Ravens face the Rams, who are third-best at containing fantasy RBs.
Alvin Kamara, Saints at Texans
Kamara has been not involved the way he was expected to be as a busy checkdown for Spencer Rattler and his rushing has been ineffective with some line issues. The Patriots just contained James Cook so you can't feel good about playing him.
Chase Brown, Bengals at Packers
Brown continues to struggle due to Cincinnati's bad offensive line and Jake Browning hasn't been able to establish any kind of rhythm. The Packers defense will be all over him this weekend.
Norwell High Sports
by Genevieve Hutchison and Tess McGloughlin
This Friday the varsity Norwell High school football team is playing Abington, 7pm at the Clipper Complex. On Tuesday the 14th there will be a boys' soccer game at Brockton High School, 6pm. Both boys' Soccer and Football are currently ranked # 1 in their divisions. Girls' soccer will play at Marshfield on Tuesday and they are currently ranked third in their division. Two days later there will be another match on the 16th. They will play at 4:30, Clipper Complex, against the Blue Devils a.k.a. Randolph. Friday the 17th there will be a football game at Rockland that’s going to start at 7pm. Just an FYI, there are no boys/hockey games going on at the moment.
Wednesday, Norwell High School's girls' freshman Volleyball team played Rockland high at 4:00 pm. This exciting match will take place away at Rockland high school. On another note, the JV Basketball team won’t be playing against anyone until December 19! This match will be starting at 6:30pm, where the Clippers will be facing Middleborough. Though you may think that waiting two months for a game is a long time, it looks like the girls freshman team won’t be playing until 2026, against Archbishop Williams.
