Welcome to Piedmont Valley Elementary! This can be an exciting and scary time for parents, especially if this is your first kid coming to school. We want to make this transition as easy as we can for you, so we have compiled some information for you to introduce you to our school. You should be receiving a letter in the mail soon from your students teacher explaining how the first couple weeks of kindergarten start. We encourage you to reach out to our office staff this summer with any questions. We look forward to seeing you all this Fall!

Please make sure your kiddos are dressed appropriately for the elements when they arrive at school. Per district policy, students will go outside for recess as long as the wind chill is above zero. You are welcome to send snow boots or snow pants with your kids to school.

The beginning of the school year for kindergarteners can be overwhelming! In order for your child's teacher to spend more one-on-one time with their new students and help them overcome the kindergarten jitters, your child will start the year differently than 1st-4th graders. Your child's teacher will be sending letters to you soon letting you know what group your student is in. Please note what days your student will attend based on their group. (This is only for the first 2 weeks of school).
