Principal Advisory Committee
Our Principal Advisory Committee (PAC) will begin this month. The committee will consist of one student from each advisory classroom. Members will meet with Dr. VanDelft once a month to review attendance and behavior data, collaborate on problem-solving, and work together to improve our school. Dr. VanDelft will share information from these meetings with our teachers (and vice versa) and create a presentation based on the feedback from both groups. Students will then present this information to their advisory classes. Last year's members have been reinstated. 6th grade applications for the PAC are due in the office by Friday, October 3rd.
*Tutoring will be canceled October 21st - 23rd*
The WMMS Math Team will begin practices on Monday, November 11th. The team will meet from 3-4 pm on Mondays (November-February) and will prepare for the Regional Middle School Math Competition to be held on February 21st, 2026 at Truman State. Students who perform well enough to qualify to go the State Competition will have the option of competing at the state level on March 14, 2025 in St. Louis. Please have your student reach out to Mr. Cook (Dean of Students) if they are interested or email bcook@kirksville.k12.mo.us for more info. Permission sheets and information letters will be available starting the week of 10/6. Please return signed information letter by 10/31 so your student can begin practice on 11/11.
