Happy New Year!
Welcome Back!! π€©
Happy New Year! I hope you had a restful holiday break. As we dive back into the school year, let's celebrate our students' growth and set ambitious goals for the upcoming benchmark assessments. Please ensure that your lesson plans align with our priority standards and curriculum planning. Our goal is to see significant progress by early February, which will provide valuable insights for AASA. Additionally, please finalize your HMH Math growth measures and complete all MOY testing. To support our students who need extra help, we will continue with our intervention and targeted group programs. Please keep parents informed about these opportunities and work together to create a plan for student success. I will be creating the necessary addendums this week. Let's make this year our best year yet! βΊοΈ
Academic Achievement π
100th Day
π―Get ready to celebrate our 100th Day of School on January 21st! To commemorate this special milestone, please incorporate fun and engaging 100th-day activities into your lesson plans. Decorate your classroom doors with creative 100th-day themes. Let's make this a memorable day by dressing up as 100-year-olds! Encourage your students to participate in this fun costume activity. I've got some exciting prizes planned to make this day even more special.
Professional Development
This week we will be meeting to follow up with Action planning and tutoring lists for second semester. Please come to the library with your laptops.
Attendance Update and Incentives
While I understand that some parents may have chosen to keep their children home from school on Thursday and Friday and after the concert on Wednesday, our attendance was significantly impacted, dropping to 75%. This week's average ended at 83%.π
Moving forward, we will continue to emphasize the importance of regular school attendance. I believe we have made significant strides in improving our attendance rates, and we should all be proud of this progress. Let's continue to encourage and reward good attendance habits.
Parent/Student Engagement π
