DEER RUN PTO NEWSLETTER

Join us Friday, January 9th at 6:15pm for a skating party at The Chiller - Dublin!

We will have the entire rink reserved for Deer Run families.

Skate rental is available for a fee. Please bring your own helmet!

* This is not a drop off event - students must be supervised by a parent or adult.

We are in need of additional volunteers to present at Career Day for our 3rd-5th graders on January 30, 2026 from 9:15-11:45 (Volunteers set up 8:45 - 9:15).

Please sign up here!

Volunteers are asked to share about what they do in their career role and to provide a hands-on or make-and-take activity for students. Table space will be provided for volunteers in the Deer Run gymnasium.

Are you signed up for "Kroger Community Rewards"? With a few simple steps, you can link your Kroger Shop Card to Deer Run and a small donation will be made to our school every time you shop. It does not cost you anything and it does not pull from your rewards.

Follow these steps to sign up -

1. Sign in to your digital Kroger account on the app or your computer.
2. In the drop down on the left hand side, Find "Rewards", then select "Community Rewards". On the website, click on "My Account" under your name, and then select "Community Rewards".
3. Search for "Deer Run Elementary School", select, and click "Save". Your selected organization will now display in the Kroger Community Rewards section of your account.

Unfortunately we cannot allow last minute substitute volunteers in place of those signed up for parties if they have not completed the background check process. Thank you for your understanding. There is additional information on the background check process below, and please contact Mrs. Guthrie in the front office if you have any questions!

REMINDER: ALL parent/family members that wish to volunteer for the 2025-2026 school year will need to have a completed background check on file with the district. This will apply to classroom volunteers, PTO events, field trips and any other school event. This online process is quick, secure and free for applicants. Click button below to complete the process!

PLEASE NOTE: If any family member, other than a parent, is applying to volunteer please inform Carol Guthrie at guthrie_carol@dublinschools.net to ensure a timely approval!

CURRENT VOLUNTEERS: Be sure to double check the expiration date on your volunteer card. You cannot "renew" your card and instead must complete the background check process again before it expires. Thank you for attending to this well in advance of your volunteering date.
