Administrative Professionals Day is a special time to say thank you to the incredible people in our front office who keep our school running smoothly every day! Here are a few simple ways your family can help recognize and celebrate them:

How Families Can Help Us Celebrate Our Amazing Office Team!

✨ Have your child write a thank-you card or draw a picture – a small gesture with a big impact!
🌸 Bring in a flower, sweet treat, or small gift – even a handmade token is meaningful.
📬 Send a kind email or note from your family sharing your appreciation.
💬 Say thank you in person when you visit the school – a warm smile and kind words go a long way!

Let’s show our appreciation for all the warmth, organization, and behind-the-scenes magic they bring to our school every day!

Effective with the 2025–2026 school year, all campuses will transition to cashless sites. In lieu of sending cash and checks to campuses, parents will now be able to make payments at centralized district satellite sites. This will help save time and resources on campuses.

Next school year, all payment collections will be handled through approved online fundraising vendors or A+ Pay N Go. These digital solutions not only simplify the payment process but also reduce the administrative burden of campus staff, improve financial transparency, and offer a more convenient experience for families.

This districtwide effort supports several important goals:

· Enhanced student and staff safety through minimal handling of physical money.

· Improved financial accuracy and accountability with digital payment tracking.

· Greater convenience for families, allowing them to pay anytime and from anywhere.

· More efficient operations in freeing up campus staff to focus on student support.

Thank you for your continued support as we, at MRE and throughout the district, transition to this new way of collecting payments.

We welcome all parents and guardians of current Pre-K students to join us for this exciting event. Please bring your Pre-K child along—students will have the chance to explore the kindergarten area while adults learn more about our kindergarten program and what to expect in the upcoming school year. We can’t wait to see you there!

If your child was not eligible for Pre-K but will be entering Kindergarten at MRE for the 2025-2026 school year, we encourage you to attend this event as well! It’s a great opportunity to learn more about our kindergarten program and help your child get familiar with their future school environment.

STAAR + Library Hours

4/23 & 4/24 – CLOSED

This is a reminder that all students who ride the bus must scan their smart ID when getting on and off the bus. Students who fail to scan their IDs, as directed by the district, will receive a disciplinary referral.

If your child needs an additional ID, please email their homeroom teacher to request a new one. Note that there will be a fee for the new ID, which must be paid through Pay&Go.

Please save the date for our upcoming Learning Celebrations! These special events will showcase the hard work and achievements of our students. We encourage you to join us to celebrate their growth and success. Please be sure to check the updated dates and times for each grade-level event, as there have been some adjustments.

***All celebrations will take place in the classrooms, with the exception of the 5th-grade celebration, which will be held in the gym this year.

*Also, be on the lookout for Pre-Raptor forms with more information, which will be sent home at the beginning of May.

*School aged children MAY not attend learning celebrations, this includes high school students exempt from finals.
