creating the town you don't want to leave
- Dry Fork Greenway project has started, erosion control is in place, contractors are organizing the work
- Review of RAISE projects with CPKC, process defined for Railroad approvals to proceed. The advance signal warning system to alert emergency response vehicles that a train is on the tracks can take many forms. The latest idea under review would use cameras & an app to provide information when any of the at grade crossings had a train on the tracks (Italian Way, Dunbar, & McCleary Road).
- Thrive Excelsior is a grassroots effort to improve the performance of our community & the people who lead & live here. Citizens Leadership Academy has accepted 25 applicants in this season's program. This is the best way to learn more about the ES community & how you can help make a difference. The Academy is now offering a daytime option if evenings don't work for you. Daytime sessions will take place every Tuesday @ noon from 3/4 - 5/13; find all the details & apply online at www.bit.ly/ThriveCLA2

Midwest Living Magazine - Excelsior Springs is one of 9 Charming MO Towns for a Perfect Weekend Getaway...With abundant natural beauty, intriguing historical sites & 4-season outdoor recreation, MO's small towns promise plenty of adventure - & surprises. MO may be well known as the Show-Me State, but the allure of its small towns often flies under the radar. ES calls out with its famous mineral waters. Take a self-guided springs walking tour & visit the Art Deco-style Hall of Waters. On your tour, you'll discover plenty of local shops & eateries downtown. Hop on the ES Chamber Trolley to give your feet a rest - but plan ahead if you want a themed tour, since the trolley's wine tours often sell out months in advance.
