Dear Grandview Families,

We are so excited to kick off another incredible school year and can't wait to welcome our Tigers back to the building. The start of a new school year is always filled with excitement, fresh opportunities, and new friendships, and we are looking forward to partnering with you to make this a successful year for every student.

Over the next week, your child's teacher will be reaching out via email and/or ClassDojo to introduce themselves and welcome your family. Please be on the lookout for this message. It's a great opportunity to begin building the strong home-school partnership that helps our students thrive.

Be sure to mark your calendars for two exciting back-to-school events! Join us for the District Back-to-School Bash on Wednesday, August 13, from 5:00–6:30 p.m. at Ben Flora Gymnasium, then come visit your child's teacher and see their classroom at Grandview Elementary's Open House on Monday, August 18, from 4:00–5:30 p.m. We hope to see all of our families at both events!

As you prepare for the first day of school, please remember that Grandview Elementary will provide the basic classroom supplies your child needs this year. If you enjoy back-to-school shopping, you are certainly welcome to purchase your child's own supplies if you wish, but it is not required. We do ask that each student bring a backpack and a reusable water bottle to school.

We are excited to begin another wonderful year of learning, growth, and success together. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we'll see you soon!

Go Tigers!

Back to School Shopping is Right Around the Corner!

Getting ready for the new school year? Good news: Grandview provides the basic school supplies your child will need throughout the year, so there's no need to purchase classroom supplies.

If you'd like, you may send your child with a backpack and a reusable water bottle.

We also gladly accept donations of facial tissues, disinfecting wipes, and hand sanitizer, but these donations are entirely optional and never expected.

If your family could use additional school supplies, the Newport American Legion will be hosting a School Supply Giveaway on Saturday, August 2, from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at 22 East 6th Street in Newport. Grandview students and their families are encouraged to attend while supplies last.
