News From the Ranch
March 15, 2026, Vol. 1, Issue 30
Dear TRE Family,
Despite the shorter days, it was a great week of learning as students continue to prepare to show off all their hard work at our Learning Celebration this week. We hope you can all join us on the evening of Wednesday, March 18th. Thank you to all of the families who joined us for Conference Week! We appreciate your partnership and support. As a reminder, Report Cards went home on Friday in Friday Folders and are available online in the Aeries Parent Portal.
This week, the remaining TK-2nd grade classes had the opportunity to engage in the awesome on-campus field trip with Doodle Bugs. Thank you to our PTA for sponsoring this learning opportunity for our primary grade students! We also had a great TK/K Fine Motor workshop with our Community Specialist, Maura Vaughn. Thank you to the families who joined to learn creative ways to build fine motor skills in our youngest learners.

30TH ANNIVERSARY & LEARNING CELEBRATION - MARCH 18
Please mark your calendars for TRE's 30th Anniversary & Learning Celebration on Wednesday, March 18th. This event combines both our Learning Celebration (Open House) and a celebration of TRE's 30th Anniversary. We are excited to welcome alumni, staff, current TRE students and families, as well as district and community members. Please review the flyer below for the schedule of events. There will be food trucks and gathering space for current and alumni families, as well as memorabilia from the past 30 years to explore. Classes will be open to explore and celebrate all that students are learning. We will also have our TRE Learning Lab space open for families to experience hands-on problem-based math centers with our Math and Literacy Specialist, Ms. Ridlon.
We hope to see all of our TRE families at this upcoming celebration!

LCAP
Dear TUSD Families,
At Tustin Unified, we value your voice! Your input is essential as we set goals and actions for the 2026-27 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) guides how California distributes state funding to school districts, ensuring resources support both core and supplemental programs. The LCAP serves as a vital tool for transparency and community engagement in this process. You can explore the current Board Approved 2025-26 LCAP on our district website.
As we plan for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, we want to hear from you! Your feedback will help shape district priorities and guide updates to our LCAP. Please take a few moments to complete the 2026-27 LCAP Survey and share what matters most in your child’s education. The LCAP Survey was sent via Parent Square to all families.
We encourage all families to participate by April 11, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact the Educational Services Department.
With appreciation,
Stephanie Yang, Ed.D.
Director of Educational Services
Tustin Unified School District
