BookSmiles Collection - Donate your gently used books
Books can be sent in with children or dropped off in the main office or in the bin outside by the flag pole. Our goal is to donate as many books as we can to help BookSmiles with their mission.
The BookSmiles Mission: We give new life to books and distribute them to promote childhood literacy, inspire readers, support educators, and strengthen communities.
Take Your Child to Work Day - April 23
Please complete the form below if you plan to take your child to work on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony
Mark the date! The 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 15. More information will be shared with families closer to the date.
Safety Reminders
Bike Riding at Woodcrest:
- Students should walk their bikes on the sidewalk and front driveway during arrival and dismissal.
- Please do not ride bikes in the bus loop or parking lot during arrival and dismissal times.
Arrival Reminders:
- Please cross at the designated crossing walk near the orange cones.
Do not pass or drive around cars that are in the drop-off line.
Please prepare your children to exit the car quickly to keep the line moving.
Dismissal Reminders:
- Do not enter the bus loop in the back of the building to pick your child(ren). Not only does this slow down the buses for dismissal, but it also a safety concern.
- The parking lot is closed from 3:20-3:40 for dismissal. There is no driving in the parking lot during this time.
- Any changes to your child's dismissal procedure (e.g., if you are picking your child up instead of taking the bus) must be communicated to your child's teacher and Mrs. Petroski in the main office (npetroski@chclc.org).
Grades 3-5 State Testing
