ILEARN Testing Starts Next Week
Reward Trips!
Students who qualified for our reward field trips in June should have received letters and permission slips during their 7th period class on Wednesday, April 15. Qualifying 7th graders have the opportunity to go to Deep River Waterpark, and qualifying 8th graders will get to go to Cedar Point. Unfortunately, some eligible students did not receive their letters, and we are working on getting that corrected.
If your child did not get a letter but thought they met the requirements, please have them check in Skyward to be sure they qualify. After checking Skyward, if they still feel there is an error, have them check with Mrs. Herschberger to confirm.
Please note the due date in the letter for turning in permission slips and money. We will not be able to accept these after the due date.
Here are the criteria for both trips:
- Six or fewer absences (excused and unexcused absences count)
- Thirty or fewer tardies to class
- One or less referral (excluding major referrals)
Administrators will make the final decision about eligibility for any exceptional cases.
Out of District Transfer Reminder
Planning for next school year is underway! If your student will be attending from outside the district, please remember that an Out-of-District Transfer form must be completed each year.
To ensure your student’s placement is secured, be sure to submit the form as soon as possible. Delays in completing this process may impact scheduling and class placement.
You can access and complete the form here:

March 7th Grade EL Student of the Month
The March 7th grade Beginner EL Student of the Month is Yessica Perea Sanchez. Yessica is new to our school system, but has show such dedication to being a good student and works hard to complete tasks. She is continuing to improve in her English language ability and is a joy to have in class. Congratulations, Yessica! We are so very proud of you!

Our goal is to help students understand and evaluate appropriate settings for formal vs. informal attire, which is a skill they will use in the world beyond school. Students will see this addressed starting on the first day of school.
We appreciate parents working with us on this. If you have questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact an administrator.
