Due to today's snow day, we have shifted the Math SOL (originally scheduled for Tuesday) to Thursday. If we see any additional school disruptions before Christmas break, we may modify our testing schedule further. Please consider downloading the GCPS school app - just search it in your smart phone's app store. This is one of ways that you can be sure to receive the most up-to-date information about GHS important announcements and happenings.

December is such a BIG month at GHS; the end of the 2nd quarter/1st semester; SOL testing, athletics, and Christmas Break. We are squeezing a lot of work and fun into this month. I've put together a calendar of 'all the things' for this month to try to keep everyone up to date on GHS happenings.

December 2nd was a busy day for GMS/GHS Choir. They started their day at Chik-fil-A in Mt. Airy where they were invited to perform for guests. Later, they performed at Twin County Hospital's Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. They are literally music to everyone's ears. What a great day they had!

Senior Grace Archer has used her senior project to add a LOT of "pep" to our basketball games! Mr. Meredith is working with our band students to bring a pep band to our basketball games this year. LOVE THIS!!
