🍂🐾 September Recap & Hello, October! 🎃💛
Goodbye, September… Hello, October! 🍁
September was filled with learning, growing, kindness, and Bulldog pride! Our students have been busy strengthening their social-emotional skills and learning what it means to make positive choices and show great character.
✨ Take a moment to browse this month’s Counseling Newsletter to see some of the fun and meaningful things that happened in September and get a sneak peek at what our Bulldogs will be learning and working on in October!
Here’s to another month of growing, learning, and becoming our very best Bulldog selves! 🐾💛🎃
BLUE UP for Kindness!
Join us on Monday, October 5th for World Day of Bullying Prevention! Wear BLUE as we stand together for kindness, respect, and inclusion and show that Bulldogs choose to Be Kind! 💙
Wear BLUE. Be KIND. BLUE UP! 💙🐾
Celebrating the Pillar of Character: Respect!
We had a wonderful time celebrating our Bulldogs who were recognized for demonstrating the Pillar of Character: Respect! These students were selected for showing kindness, using good manners, being considerate of others, and leading by example each day.
A special thank you to our guest speaker, Mrs. Sandra Bonnett, for joining us and sharing an encouraging message about the importance of respect. 💛
Congratulations to all of our Respect recipients! We are so proud of you—keep shining and showing everyone what it means to be a respectful Bulldog! 🐾⭐
Coming Up in Counseling:
This month, our Bulldogs will be learning important skills focused on friendship, bullying, cyberbullying, self-esteem, and making healthy choices. Students will learn how to build positive relationships, recognize their own strengths, make responsible decisions, stay safe and kind online, and know when to reach out to a trusted adult for help.
💬 Keep the conversation going at home! Families can ask:
- “What makes someone a good friend?”
- “What can you do if you see someone being bullied?”
- “How can you stay safe and kind online?”
- “What is something you like or feel proud of about yourself?”
- “What is one of your strengths?”
- “What is one healthy choice you made today?”
School + Home = Stronger, More Confident Bulldogs! 🐾💛
Red Ribbon Week: Making Healthy Choices!
Get ready to celebrate Red Ribbon Week, October 26–30! ❤️ Throughout the week, we’ll encourage our Bulldogs to make healthy choices while having fun with special dress-up days!
👕⭐ Check out the flyer to see what to wear each day and join in the fun! 🐾❤️
Positive Affirmations
Positive affirmations are powerful! They help students build confidence, recognize their strengths, and develop a positive mindset. Encouraging children to say things like “I am capable,” “I am enough,” and “I can do hard things” can help them believe in themselves and keep going when things get tough.
