Happy New Year to all of BF families! With the coming of a new year comes students and teachers back from a
well deserved rest ready to get back to learning!
Our third graders are busy getting ready for their big concert on January 26. All families are invited to attend this wonderful event at 7:00 pm here at the school.
Our second graders are deep into their personal narrative writing units. During this unit, students learn to add depth, detail, description, and dialogue to their stories. It is truly a time when we see second graders truly blossom as writers.
First grade students came back from break and are busy building and breaking numbers in math while Preschoolers and Kindergarteners continue their ongoing work as budding readers, writers, and mathematicians.
As always, our continued focus on supporting students' social-emotional development continues as we work on character education lessons, developing positive conflict-resolution skills, and highlighting students taking care through Take Care awards.
January is also a time of some of our classic BF events starting with Ben Franklin's birthday on January 13! Classrooms celebrate this day in a variety of fun ways! Check the school's Facebook page for any sightings of Ben Franklin here at school during the day! He may also show up at dismissal as well!
Coming up on January 20 is pajama day at school and Movie Night sponsored by the PTO in the evening. This year we will be showing The Secret Life of Pets! Check out the PTO's ad below and click the button to view the trailer!
