Happy August! Happy August!

School is Right Around the Corner!

Dear MHS Community,

I hope everyone has found time to rest and recharge this summer. Every school year offers our students a fresh opportunity to learn, grow, and discover who they can become. Whether your child is just starting out with us as a freshman or if they are in their last year as a rising senior, we know this is a special time. We are here to help and support your child's academic, social, and emotional growth. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.

I look forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks.

Sincerely,

Dr. Euker

First Day of School is Monday, August 31. First Day of School is Monday, August 31.

Freshman Information Freshman Information

Freshman Orientation

August 27: 8:15 to 11:45 pm: Detailed information will be posted on the website soon.

Parents are directed to enter the high school by the balloons. (This is the way the buses enter the high school in the morning.) We will have staff directing the students to go in the Auditorium doors. The parents will then leave out the main driveway and make a right back onto Kriebel Mill Rd.

We will have staff at both entrance and exits of the school property. Drop off will start at 7:55 am. Students will be housed in the auditorium. At 8:15 when the student ambassadors will begin their meetings.

Students will have the opportunity to walk their schedule, meet their teachers, and pick up their chromebook.

The morning should conclude around 11:40 am. Parents should enter the school lot the same way they entered and staff will be outside directing cars where to pick up the students.

If you feel your child would need more exposure to the high school other than the orientation, we have two dates, 8/4 and 8/12 where students come and walk through the high school. Here is that information: https://highschool.methacton.org/school-counseling/destination-high-school

We know you are used to getting "Back To School Supply Lists" from as far back as kindergarten. At the high school level, we do not publish supply lists. Of course, students my always need, pencils, paper, and folders, but it is more effective for you to wait to see what is on each teacher's syllabus. For day one, just bring a pencil and something to wite on.
