Book Fair
A big thank you goes out to Mrs. Miller for all her work putting on the Scholastic Book Fair.
Book of the Month
Luann Koester was in today to read to our elementary students. Luann is a local author who has 2 published books. "Gran Kissed the Blarney Stone" tells a story of Gran taking a trip to the green island of Ireland where she kissed the Blarney Stone. When she comes back, Gran isn't quite herself, telling silly stories and twisting, triwling and singing while she does chores.
Six lucky students were drawn to receive a copy of ''Gran Kissed the Blarney Stone", Reid Kopetzky, Maddox Ardrey, James Williams, Ava Mills, Hazel Bacon and Bobby Lopez.
Thank you to Luann for reading to our students!
Mighty Ram Mentors
The MIGHTY RAM MENTORS were back at it on Wednesday. The 8th graders and preschoolers got creative, decorating rocks making them into little people!
Safety Presentations
On Tuesday, the school hosted an Internet Device Safety and Awareness presentation put on by the Sterling Police Department and Rachelle Maker from Northeast Colorado Family Medicine.
The presentation discussed online predators, cyberbullying and tools to help at home in a technology centered world.

Baseball
Last Thursday, the Rams faced off against the Outlaws, achieving a hard-fought victory with a score of 4-3 for the varsity team, while the JV team experienced a tough 2-6 loss. On Saturday, the Rams traveled to Burlington, where they celebrated another success with a 13-4 win over the Cougars. The JV team also had a chance to play but unfortunately did not secure a victory.
On Tuesday, the Rams hosted Peetz, and both the JV and varsity teams added another win to their records.
Their next game is scheduled for Saturday at 11 AM in Merino.
Girls Golf
On Tuesday, our JV Lady Rams hit the golf course in Fort Morgan. The girls navigated the course effectively, showcasing their driving, putting, and course management abilities. Each player had the opportunity to learn from their experiences on the greens, honing their techniques under real match conditions. Overall, it was a fantastic day for growth and development in the sport. Great job, ladies!
MS Track
Last Friday we hosted our first MS track meet of the year. We had 520 athletes, 2010 entries and got to finish under the lights.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the track meet run smoothly.
Our MS will travel to Wiggins on Monday for their next meet.
NJC Senior Showcase
On Sunday, our 5 Akron Rams seniors participated in the NJC Senior Showcase. It was wonderful to see these boys on the court one more time. As always they represented our great school and community proudly. Great day to be a Ram.
