The Standard and Core Values for Granville Athletics

We are introducing a new Standard in Granville Athletics this year with implementation of our three core values. We have worked with our staff to create these. Our core values align with the district's Portrait of a Graduate and embody what it means to be a Granville Student Athlete.

We will be recognizing athletes monthly who exhibit our core values as a department and each team will recognize individuals at their end of season banquets.

Please see our December "Be a Great Teammate" Winners. We are so proud of our Winter athletes and how they DEFEND THE STANDARD!

8th Grade Boys Basketball

The 8th Grade Boys had a good season this year. While the record was 9-8, it doesn't tell the whole story. The team always competed hard and played to the final whistle, no matter the score. The team demonstrated growth throughout the year, and there is excitement about what these young men can accomplish as they move on to high school

From wins and losses, we learned that our strength was togetherness and our ability to play for one another. Go Aces!

This season, the girls showed tremendous growth, teamwork, and dedication both in practice and during the games. They continued to improve their skills, support one another, and compete with great effort every time they stepped on the court. Most importantly, they represented our program with positive attitudes and strong sportsmanship. Varsity Girls Wrestling

With 4 out of 14 weight classes filled, 3 freshmen and 1 sophomore, and only competing with all 4 at the same time once all year it was a fairly successful year. top 5 finish at LCL's with three Runner-ups and one 3rd place. We had 1 District alternate, one that never had a losing record in a tournament and set a new high in wins and pins in a season. We also consistently placed in the top half of teams while never being full strength and giving up 11-13 weight classes. We look to expand and build upon the success for next year.
