Monthly Virtue
During the month of November, we are focusing on the Virtue of Conscience.
Conscience is the voice of God within us. As you develop your conscience, you will learn to make decisions that will make sure you will always have love in your life. Our conscience reminds us how to act towards other people and how to be a good friend. Sometimes it is hard for us to do the right thing, but we must always remember that the right thing is not always the easy thing to do.
A person of conscience...
† chooses to do the right thing, even when it is hard
† takes time to think and pray before making decisions
† makes decisions according to gospel values
† knows that their actions and decisions affect all those around them
† thinks of others before themselves
† accepts accountability for one’s own actions
Let us pray for the grace and strength to be people of conscience, who know the good and decent way to act and then choose to act that way. Amen.
Upcoming Events and Activities
Christmas Concert - Costume Information, T-Shirt Sales, and Raffle!
The children are working hard to prepare a spectacular Christmas show for you all! The staff and cast are excited to showcase Carol of the Toys on December 11th. To help the children shine, we are asking for help outfitting the children with costumes. Please see the letter below. This outlines the costume requirements for each grade.
To build excitement and promote our production, we will be selling white souvenir t-shirts for $15 with a logo on the front, and the school name and year printed on the back. Starting December 1st, the t-shirt may be worn in place of the regular polo shirt leading up to the Christmas Concert (with the exception of Mass days).
If you would like to order a t-shirt, or purchase a raffle ticket for an official FIFA World Cup 2026 Scarf and Notebook AND 2 front row seats to the evening show of the Christmas Concert, please complete the order form below (paper copies will be distributed in class) and send it to school by Monday November 17th. This is a firm deadline, as no late orders will be accepted, and no extra t-shirts will be ordered. If your child will not be at school before the due date, please email aalberti@smeschool.ca with the details of your order by noon on Monday November 17th.
Kindergarten 2026 - 2027
If you have a child due to enter Kindergarten in September of 2026, please contact the school office to ensure we have them on our sibling list. As we approach application and registration season, it is important we have a current list of younger siblings.
