HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!

Thank you to EVERYONE!
What a tremendous year...
βThe learning process is something you can incite, literally incite, like a riot.β
β Audre Lorde
I think way back to our community caravan to Margate Park last September to see Little Amal together...
And agree...Our riot of community arts happenings throughout the school year is something that builds on itself and is unstoppable--we're continuing our creating and sharing until the very last day---with our Art Lab Showcase: Marvelous Marble Runs & our Cigarra Carnavale--- a Chicago Lives collaboration and public art installation party in our student-created Secret Garden...
(What a riot--ha:))!!)
Thank you for your support. It's been another fantastic journey together! And we've already got big plans for next year:)!
BRAVO to YOU!
I wish EVERYONE a restive and restorative summer filled with family, fun, art and plenty of WATER:))!
See you at Big Blue!

HOORAY! An outdoor recycling mosaic party in our Secret Garden to honor THIS remarkable year...
Cicada stories, art making and community spirit (some samba dancing too-hehe:))) to round out our study of the community storytelling, current events and real science...We will be celebrating the roots of cicada mythology---Egypt, China, Greece and more...We will also be looking at transformative holiday celebrations---such as Carnavale across the globe in Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Italy, Germany, Poland and Brazil...as we close another school year and LAUNCH Summer 2024 together!
Room 210 & 217 will be building our cicada time capsule vessel in-situ and reMAKING our outdoor play lab. Bring an outdoor PLANT to PLANT or sidewalk chalk to donate to our celebration if you can;)!
