November 10th: "How-To" -- Heartland Writing Journals
Are you wondering what to do with that large writing journal resource your HST gave you?!?! We have the answer!!
Our Heartland Writing Team has taken the “what to do for writing” guess work away and constructed an amazing open and teach resource for families to use! One of our very own writing team members, Paula Davis, is going to not only show us how to use the writing journal, but will offer effective tips and tricks for teaching writing! Paula will also cover the importance of scoring writing and provide an overview of how rubrics drive writing instruction!
It’s going to be a fun filled meeting and we can’t wait to see you there!
Note: This is an interactive meeting. Please bring a writing journal and sticky notes!

Monthly meetings will feature a topic of interest (generated by our Heartland parents) and guest speakers to offer expertise and insight. You will not want to miss these sessions, but if you do, the recordings will be housed in our archive, so you can watch them at a time that is convenient for you!
