Dr. Claire McCarthy, Harvard Health Publishing notes that "children have a great capacity for joy. It doesn’t take much to make them happy. It’s even easier to make them happy if you do something with them — which can have the added benefit of making parents happy too, as the joy of children can be infectious." Whether you play a board game, go for a family walk, or simply listen to music - joy is just a moment away.

In the final SEL in Action at Home newsletter for the 2021-22 school year, we encourage you to continue to reinforce the social and emotional learning lessons worked on throughout the school year with summer activities, and invite you to share your voice in an upcoming Caregiver Roundtable. Have a restful and joyous summer!
