Livermore High School | Bi-Weekly Newsletter

Dear Livermore High School Families,

I hope this message finds you well as we move deeper into the fall season and look ahead to the busy weeks ahead on campus.

Gratitude & Highlights

A heartfelt thank you to the Livermore Rotary Club for sponsoring several staff grants this year.

  • Our Wellness Center received a joint grant from Rotary and the Livermore Valley Education Foundation (LVEF) to upgrade its audio and visual technology, transforming the space into a more sensory-friendly and restorative environment that supports emotional regulation and stress relief.
  • Science Olympiad received funding to purchase new kits for their robot, helicopter, electric vehicle, and hovercraft events.
  • GravitechX received support for the design and construction of their competitive robots.

We are deeply grateful for Rotary’s continued partnership and investment in enriching opportunities for our students and staff.

Congratulations to Livermore High School teacher Gabe Castro, who will be honored with the 49ers Foundation Teacher of the Game Award for his outstanding commitment to student success and community impact! Mr. Castro will be recognized on the field during the third quarter of the Monday Night Football game on November 24. His dedication to inspiring and supporting students truly exemplifies the Cowboy spirit of excellence.

Visual & Performing Arts

The Livermore High School Fall Concert showcased the incredible talent and dedication of our student musicians. Under the direction of our music staff, the ensembles delivered a beautifully polished performance that reflected months of preparation and teamwork. From inspiring instrumental pieces to powerful choral moments, the concert was a wonderful celebration of artistry and Cowboy pride.

Attendance Awareness

Every day counts! Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in a student’s success. When students miss school, even for a few days, they miss valuable instruction, discussions, and opportunities to connect with their teachers and peers. Good attendance helps build strong habits, improves academic performance, and keeps students engaged in the school community.

Let’s work together to ensure every Cowboy is present, learning, and thriving!

Community, Safety & Culture

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to promote kindness, inclusion, and safety for all students. Through our HEROES mini-lessons, students have explored anti-bullying themes that foster a connected and caring campus.

Members of our PBIS team recently attended the California PBIS Conference in Sacramento, gaining valuable strategies to strengthen our school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports framework, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for every Cowboy.

Please continue to use designated areas for student drop-off and pick-up and avoid staff parking lots to ensure our team can access their spaces easily.

Facilities Master Plan Refresh

As part of the District’s Facilities Master Plan (FMP) refresh, we are asking families and staff to share feedback via the surveys below. Your input is vital in shaping the future of our schools.

  • English Survey
  • Spanish Survey
Please complete the survey by Friday, October 31 at 4:00 PM.
Thank you for helping guide this important process.

Community Recognition

The Three Valleys Community Foundation (3VCF) is accepting nominations for its inaugural Young Philanthropist Award, honoring young people who make a positive difference in their communities. Finalists will be recognized during the 25th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Fellowship Breakfast on January 26, 2026 (8:00–9:30 a.m.) at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton.
