Hands on learning happens in Science! Whether we are learning about plants and animals, natural disasters, life cycles, or adaptations, students are learning with peers in an engaging and hands-on approach.
Pictured to the right: Students are testing the permeability of different geosphere elements by performing an investigation. Students work together and record data to draw conclusions about which material is best suited to help prevent flooding in a local area.
Pictured to the right: Students are using flashlights and filters to examine and experiment with refraction. Students have also explored other features of light such as reflection, objects that are opaque, translucent, and transparent.

Students collaborate to create a collaborative idea using a discussion diamond, then decide on which materials they should use. Students had so much fun watching their water filter through!
STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Matthew Le from Kindergarten! (Pictured below)
Matthew is an outstanding student here at North! He is an amazing artist as well as an amazing scientist! Matthew loves to take his science knowledge home, and bring in more facts the next day! He shares a variety of topics with the class, and is always eager to learn. His scientific drawings and attention to detail are super awesome, as well as his positive attitude each and every day. Here Matthew proudly shows off a birdhouse he created during a Science “Living and Nonliving” unit. Way to go Matthew!

BUILD Boston at Randolph High School
Sales Bazaar ~ April 10, 2026
The Randolph High School BUILD Business students recently demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurship, professionalism, and innovation during their highly anticipated Sales Bazaar held in the school cafeteria. This event served as a culminating experience where students applied real world business principles, transforming their ideas into tangible products and meaningful customer interactions.
Students including David Edze, Richard Deris, Aran Morales Sanchez, Daren Nash, Osvaldo Pena, Tino Phan, Makhi White, Safiya Young, Kayla Holder, Omar Joseph, Myla Moise, and Josue Perez Castillo each played a vital role in bringing this event to life. They represented their businesses with confidence, showcasing not only their products but also their understanding of branding, marketing strategy, customer service, and financial management.
From product presentation to sales execution, these students exhibited the core principles of entrepreneurship: creativity, resilience, and leadership. Throughout the event, they engaged with peers, staff, and visitors, confidently communicating their value propositions and adapting their sales approaches in real time. Their ability to handle transactions, respond to customer feedback, and promote their brands reflected a deep understanding of business operations and market dynamics.
This experience not only highlighted their growth as young entrepreneurs but also reinforced essential skills such as teamwork, problem solving, communication, and financial literacy. The Sales Bazaar exemplifies the mission of the BUILD program empowering students to become the next generation of business leaders by providing hands on, experiential learning opportunities.
We commend these students for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism. Their efforts truly brought the cafeteria to life as a vibrant marketplace and demonstrated what is possible when education meets real world application.
Acknowledgments
A special thank you to the entire BUILD team for their unwavering commitment and dedication to student success. Your guidance, mentorship, and behind the scenes support made this event possible and meaningful.
We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Shannon for her continued support, leadership, and investment in the growth and development of our students.
Finally, we would like to recognize and thank our school leadership and community, especially Principal John Licorish, our administrators, and our teachers for their ongoing encouragement and support of innovative programs like BUILD. All Chorus Concert
Three hundred RPS choral students took the stage for our Season-Themed All Chorus Concert, marking our largest participation since before Covid. A powerful reminder of what music programs can rebuild when people actually show up and commit. We are grateful for this growing, thriving community and the support from administration, teachers, families, and the community. (See the picture below).
NAMM Foundation
We are proud to announce that the Randolph Public Schools has once again been named a Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation, marking the second year in a row earning this national recognition. Now in its 27th year, the award honors districts that demonstrate outstanding commitment to music education and equitable access for all students.
This achievement reflects the dedication of our educators, the passion of our students, and the continued support from families and the community. Music is thriving in Randolph, and this recognition proves it.
