Congratulations, Lion Cubs! We have officially completed the first quarter of the school year! We are so proud of our students for their hard work, growth, and determination over the past nine weeks. As we prepare for the second quarter, we encourage all students to reflect on their accomplishments, set new academic and personal goals, and continue demonstrating our ROAR expectations: Respect, Ownership, Academics, and Resilience. Families, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let's keep building on our successes and make the next quarter even better! Together We ROAR! 🖤💛

Self-Direct - Autodireccion
🦁 CKH Character Trait: Self-Direct 🖤💛
This month, our Lion Cubs are focusing on Self-Direct through Capturing Kids' Hearts! Being self-directed means making responsible choices, staying focused, setting goals, and taking ownership of our actions and learning. Families can reinforce this trait at home by encouraging children to complete tasks independently, follow routines, and make positive decisions. Together, we can help our Lion Cubs grow into confident, responsible leaders who ROAR with pride!

🩺 A Message from Our School Nurse - Un mensaje de la enfermera
When Should I Keep My Child Home?
We know it can be difficult to decide when your child is too sick for school. Our goal is to keep all of our students and staff healthy and learning!
Please consider keeping your child home when they are experiencing:
🌡️ A fever — especially if your child has a temperature of 100.4°F or higher
🤢 Vomiting or diarrhea — your child should be feeling better before returning to school
😷 Significant coughing, difficulty breathing, or other respiratory symptoms that prevent them from comfortably participating in school
😴 Extreme tiredness or weakness that makes it difficult to participate in normal school activities
👁️ Pink eye with drainage or symptoms that have not been evaluated when required
🦠 A contagious illness — please follow your healthcare provider's guidance and school guidelines for when your child may return
If your child is not feeling well enough to learn, play, eat, and participate comfortably, it may be best to give them a day at home to rest and recover.
Thank you for helping us keep our Lion Cubs healthy! 💙🦁
If you are unsure whether your child should attend school, please contact the school nurse for guidance.
