Please join us for our Middleton Movie Night, TOMORROW, Friday, January 24th to watch The Wild Robot. Doors open at 5:30 and the movie will start at 6. (All students must be accompanied by an adult.) Admission is FREE. Popcorn is FREE. Pizza and candy will be available for purchase. Hope to see you there!

Save the Date for a new Middleton Family Event

Wednesday, April 16th 5:00pm-7:00pm

We are so excited to begin what will hopefully become an annual event at Middleton to celebrate the culture and heritage of our Middleton families. We are calling it “Around the World at Middleton.” This evening will be a vibrant and lively celebration of the many cultures represented at Middleton. We invite Middleton students and their families to host a table to decorate and display artifacts representing their culture. Families are also invited to come dressed in their native ceremonial dress. Participation in the event is free and there is no cost to attend. If you are interested in hosting a table to share your cultural and heritage with us, please fill out this Google Form or email Natasha Edinger (nedinger@sherwood.k12.or.us).

EVERYONE is invited to come and join in the fun that evening. Families can come anytime between 5:00 and 6:30 to visit tables. Students will receive “passports” to take with them as they travel around and visit the different tables where they will receive a stamp from each country. Additionally, we’ll have games and crafts for students to try, and we are hoping to secure food truck(s) out back if families would like to purchase dinner. Doors will open at 5:00. At 6:30, we will end the night with a parade of flags and hopefully a few cultural performances.

Additionally, we will have a Cultural Art Walk through the halls at Middleton. All Middleton students will complete a piece of cultural art to display in the hall. During the event, families are welcome to walk the halls and admire the art.

This spring, the high school's theatre program will be performing The Sound of Music, and they are looking for younger actors (4th and 8th grade) to audition for the Von Trapp Children. Look! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Middleton’s Staff Appreciation Week! Our staff appreciation week is Monday, February 3rd through Friday, February 7th. Flyers will come home in your student's Friday Folder on Friday 1/24. Our teachers and staff are truly superheroes in disguise and we want to give a big WOW! for all that they do! Our staff will be treated to many events and treats that are all superhero themed. There are many ways in which you can get involved that work best for you and your family. CLICK HERE for ways you can contribute to our staff lunch and coffee delivery next week. Please feel free to come up with your own ideas!! We always love creativity! Thank you SO incredibly much for helping to make this week extra special for our staff. We will be sure to share everything on social media!

What: Each year Pacific University's Dental Hygiene program has an event called Give Kids A Smile. They provide free dental cleanings, exams, x-rays, fillings and extractions.
