A message from the superintendent
Dear Everett Public Schools Community,
Happy April! Spring is officially here, bringing longer days, blooming flowers, and a well-deserved spring break from April 6 to April 10. I hope this time provides an opportunity to rest and enjoy meaningful time with family and friends. Whether you are traveling, spending time outdoors, or simply taking a break from your daily routines, I wish you a safe and enjoyable week.
As we look ahead, this is also an important time for families to prepare for the upcoming 2026–27 school year. If you have a child who will be starting kindergarten, now is the time to complete registration. Children must be 5 years old by August 31 to enroll. Registering now helps our schools plan, staff classrooms, and ensure a strong start for our youngest learners.
I look forward to welcoming everyone back after the break, ready to finish the school year strong.
Be safe and be well,
Dr. Ian B. Saltzman
Superintendent

Community Notice: Emergency Response Training Exercise at Everett Memorial Stadium
Everett Public Schools would like to inform families and community members about an upcoming emergency response training exercise taking place at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Date & Time: Monday, April 6, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Everett Memorial Stadium
Participants: City of Everett Department of Emergency Management, Police, Fire, and EMS.
This training will simulate an emergency scenario to help first responders practice coordination and response efforts during large-scale events.
During the exercise, community members may notice:
- Sounds similar to a starter pistol (simulated munitions will be used—no live ammunition)
- Individuals acting as “victims” with realistic makeup and bandages to simulate injuries
- Emergency vehicles with lights and sirens active throughout the day
For safety reasons:
- The north end of the south stadium parking lot will be closed during the exercise
- CRC staff and visitors should plan to use the south end of the lot if other parking areas are full
We appreciate your understanding as our local emergency responders prepare to keep our community safe.
