Take a break

Encourage a break from constant screen time. Our students made huge gains this year by not using cell phones during instructional time. Instead of spending hours on social media, encourage your student to read a book(s) from the syllabus of their next English class to get ahead.

Outdoor Adventures

Create new memories with friends and families! Take advantage of living in Southern California. There is so much to see and do, even on a budget. Local hiking trails are beautiful this time of year. The goal is to come back in August refreshed and ready to learn!

Get organized

Clean out your backpack and review notes that may be helpful for next year. Before you throw away a composition book with Algebra 1 notes, keep it for reference as you prepare for Algebra 2. Organize your Google drive into grade level folders to keep track of labs, essays, and projects.
