Ashland Preschool Update

Hello Preschool Families,
We loved welcoming so many of you into our classrooms this week for conferences. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us! It’s always so special to connect, share, and celebrate all the wonderful growth we’re seeing. We hope you found these conversations meaningful and helpful.
On Thursday, April 2nd, we will be celebrating Autism Awareness Day. We invite our friends to wear blue or red to show support and help spread kindness, understanding, and inclusion throughout our school community.
A reminder that Thursday, April 2nd is also an early release day after lunch for staff professional development. Dismissal will take place from 12:05–12:15 PM.
There will be no school on Friday, April 3rd in observance of Good Friday. We wish all of our families who are celebrating a wonderful and peaceful holiday.
As always, thank you for your continued support, it means so much to our school community.

☕ Caregiver Coffee for Rising Kindergarten Students ☕
Please join us for a Caregiver Coffee with Warren Principal Peter Regan and Special Education Coordinator Kathryn Bent. This is a wonderful opportunity for Pittaway families who have a child attending Warren next year to ask questions and learn more about the transition to kindergarten.
Please register here. If you are unable to attend in person, you are still welcome to use the registration form to submit questions for Mr. Regan and Ms. Bent.

🏫 Preschool Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year 🏫
We currently have a waitlist for all our classes for the 26/27 school year, except for our 4-day 3-year-old AM class. If you are interested in signing up for this option, please send your application to Donna Pederson dpederson@ashland.k12.ma.us
If your child receives a placement through Special Education, the Teams will be making recommendations during upcoming IEP meetings and will communicate that with you.

👟 Linclusion 👟
The Linclusion 5K is a local event focused on building a more inclusive community for individuals with disabilities. It’s a really special day centered around belonging, connection, and fun for all families whether they run, walk, or just come to enjoy the festivities. It is coming up on Sunday, April 12th at the Rec Center. Linclusion was founded by a local Ashland family to help create more inclusive opportunities and experiences for kids of all abilities in our community.
This is more than just a race, you don’t have to run to join in the fun! Come hang out and enjoy a great day with cotton candy, face painting, Wally the Red Sox Mascot, bounce houses, a DJ, Silent auction, raffles, and more. It’s a wonderful way to bring families together while supporting an amazing cause. Plus an awesome after party at Clover Road.
