Main Road Weekly Update

This week was incredibly festive and spirited at Main Road School. Each day represented wearing different holiday attire to get excited for the holiday season. The CCC planned Reindeer Games with homeroom classes this week to play fun and collaborative games for students to practice social skills. These games were certainly enjoyed by all students.

Next week, we will only be in school on Monday and Tuesday, with festive days then as well. On tuesday, we will have an early dismissal, where students will leave school by 1 PM. If you are picking your child up on that day, you will need to be at the school for pickup by 12:50.

For December, the core value that aligns with Main Road School is Gratitude. This is the time of year for students to reflect and be thankful for their experiences. Students will earn Inverso Incentive dollars this month by showing gratitude. These dollars will be cashed in weekly during their lunch at the Inverso Emporium.

On Thursday, December 11th, grades went live for parents for them to view on Realtime Parent Portal. Please log into the parent portal to view your child's grades. A copy of the report card can always be printed if you contact the Main Office. Directions below on accessing student grades in the parent portal.

Please feel free to reach out to the PTO with any fundraising ideas you may have, as well as opportunities to get involved within our school community. Our next PTO Meeting will be Tuesday, December 9th at 7:00 PM.

Please refer to the Realtime Parent Portal to look at updated grades as it is now the end of the trimester. The end of Trimester 1 is December 4th and grades will be posted for parents on the Realtime Parent Portal December 11th at 12 PM.

Friendly Reminder: The doors open at Main Road School at 8:12 and parent pickup begins at 2:50 PM! **IF you are picking up your child, you must let the office know by 2 PM. Please be sure to notify the office and not the teacher, as they WILL NOT see the email/dojo message while they are teaching**

Check out our very first issue of the Mustang Mail, our student newspaper! This newspaper was written and edited by our Newspaper Club students.

The theme at Main Road School this year is "Peace, Learn, Grow". Much of our focus is being kind citizens, treating others the way we would like to be treated, and continuing to grow our minds to accomplish new goals.

Teachers will acccess Classdojo as a mode of daily communication. Email is still preferred method of communication regarding specific instances when the teacher needs to be contacted. Please allow 24 hours for teachers to fully respond, as response time will be delayed during instructional hours.

• Tuesday, December 23rd we will have our Holiday Parties in the morning. Parties will be from 8:45-9:25 and parents may enter at 8:35.

It is imperative that your child arrives timely each day as there is a very short window for the breakfast line in the morning. Instruction begins at 8:25 daily. Breakfast should be wrapped up by this time as long as your child arrives on time.
