Weekend Challenge: Help Us Reach Our Fundraising Goal!
Dear Murchison Elementary Families,
Who’s ready for a weekend challenge?! 🙋♀️Enter a $60 flat donation or $2 per lap donation before Monday to snag a GLOW IN THE DARK EDITION keychain! 😮 Good luck!
Help us reach our $45,000 for instructional technology, teacher grants and an outdoor learning space ⬇️
1. SIGN UP your student(s) on MyBooster.com.
2. SHARE with your family/friends using the SHARE tools on MyBooster.com.
3. GIVE a donation.
We’re currently at $27,835 towards our goal of $45,000. Every donation counts and brings us closer to instructional technology, teacher grants and an outdoor learning space for our students!
Reminder: Our big Murchison Mustang Stampede is coming up on 04/02/2026! We can’t wait to celebrate with you. If you want to watch the Color Blast Fun Run, you can join us in the Murchison backyard at the following times:
8:30: PK, K, and 1st grade
9:30: 2nd and 3rd grade
10:30 4th and 5th grade
Thank you again for supporting our school!
Enjoy your weekend,
Carrie Quinney

Hendrickson Baseball Little League Night
Tonight Hendrickson Baseball will be hosting Little League Night vs. the Weiss Wolves at 7:00PM. Any player that comes to the game IN UNIFORM will be allowed FREE entry into the game.
Awards Assemblies
Our 3rd 9 weeks awards assembly will be held on April 8. You will know if your child is getting an award because their teacher will reach out to you or you will see that they made all A's on their report card. 2nd-5th grade report cards will be available in the Skyward Portfolio on March 30.
Students who receive an award will get a dog tag. If your child previously received a dog tag, feel free to have them wear them to school for the awards assembly. That way they can display their previous achievements and add another dog tag to the chain if they get another one!
Award times are listed below:
7:50-8:10 -- 5th grade
8:15-8:35 -- 4th grade
8:40-9:00 -- 3rd grade
9:05-9:25 -- 2nd grade
9:30-9:45 -- 1st grade
9:50-10:05 -- Kindergarten

District Optimization Update & Community Meeting Resources
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you to those who attended our recent Community Meetings before Spring Break. We appreciate your time, engagement, and thoughtful input.
If you were unable to attend, the district has posted presentation videos in multiple languages, along with additional information, on the District Optimization webpage: https://www.pfisd.net/about-us/district-optimization. You will also find an FAQ on the webpage that is regularly updated based on community questions and feedback.
Thank you to everyone who has already shared feedback on the scenarios. If you have not yet participated, we encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey and share your thoughts on all scenarios—not just those that may directly impact your family: https://tejoin.com/participate/336499412.
Your feedback is essential as we work toward a district-wide solution to a district-wide challenge.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

STAAR Parent Portal
Did you know? If your child is a current 4th or 5th grader who took the STAAR test last year, you can login to the Parent Portal to see how they answered the questions on the STAAR test last year! You can even see exactly what your child wrote on their writing sample (also known as their Extended Constructed Response or ECR).
Login to the Skyward Parent Portal, click the Texas Assessments tile, then the link that says Texas Assessment Results Website. If that doesn't work for you, you can also login here: https://tx-familyportal.cambiumast.com/#/ I am happy to provide you with your child's Unique Access Code if you need it and can't see it in Skyward!
