This week, students at Davis Elementary and William Tennent High School participated in focus groups hosted by Dr. Lucabaugh, part of an ongoing district-wide initiative to elevate student voice.

Throughout the school year, Dr. Lucabaugh will host student focus groups each month across all Centennial schools, continuing through June 2026. These sessions give students a meaningful opportunity to share their experiences, ideas, and insights about learning in our district.

“Chair”-ish Your Bread Tags! Help the Environment & Change a Life – One Bread Tag at a Time!

What’s This All About?
The Klinger Garden Club has teamed up with Danielle Cares for Chairs — an Indiana-based organization founded in 2017 by then-17-year-old Danielle Rothchild. Danielle’s mission is simple but powerful:

Collect bread tags → Recycle them → Use the proceeds to buy wheelchairs for those in need.

Yes, we’re talking about those little plastic clips that keep your bread (and other products) fresh! These tags are sold to a local recycling center and transformed into items like plastic cups. The money raised — about 50 cents per pound — goes directly toward buying wheelchairs.

Since 2017, 14 wheelchairs have been donated thanks to this effort!

How Many Tags = One Wheelchair?
It takes 260,000 to 600,000 bread tags to fund a single wheelchair — so every tag counts!

Our Goal: Match Last Year’s Total!
Since 2021, thanks to Klinger students, Davis Elementary, and our cafeterias, we’ve collected 17,582 bread tags.
Let’s match (or beat!) that number in 2025–2026!

How You Can Help:

  • SAVE your bread tags!

  • Ask friends and family to collect them too.

  • Post about it on social media – Facebook, Instagram, anywhere!

  • Remember: Bread tags aren’t just on bread! Look for them on fruit bags, potatoes, napkins, and more.

Drop them off at Klinger or send them in with a Klinger student.

A special shoutout to the LCMS Cheer Squad, who brought the noise and school pride, cheering on our teams and keeping the crowd pumped throughout the games!
