Happy Last Day of School Eve!

Well, folks, this is it—my last Friday Announcements.

As I sit down to write these final words, I hope you all know just how much I have enjoyed being the Principal of Eastham Elementary School. Serving this remarkable school and community for the past 11 years has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life.

Thank you for trusting our staff and me with your children. Each and every one of them is a unique wonder, a gift, and a blessing to our school. They have filled our hallways with laughter, curiosity, kindness, and joy, and they have taught me as much as I could ever hope to teach them.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of having close 6,000 lunches with students. Some of my favorite memories are the simple conversations we've had around the lunch table—hearing about their dreams, adventures, questions, and accomplishments. Getting to know your children has been the very best part of this job.

Eastham Elementary School will always hold a special place in my heart. The students, families, staff, volunteers, and community members who make this school such a special place have enriched my life in ways I can hardly put into words.

As I begin the next chapter, I do so with a heart full of gratitude and pride for all we have accomplished together. Thank you for your support, your partnership, your kindness, and your friendship throughout these years.

I wish each of you a wonderful summer filled with family, laughter, adventure, and time to enjoy all the beauty that surrounds us here on Cape Cod.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives and the Eastham Elementary story.

Class Placement Notice: This year we will let your students know who they have for next year's teacher on the last day of school. Please be sure to look at their report cards tomorrow and in the envelope is a colored slip of paper sharing next year's teacher assignment.

My last day is Monday, June 29th. The new principal, Dillon Falk will begin in mid-July.
