Eagle Update
Archer Glen Elementary | April 23, 2026
A Message from Principal Woofter
We are in the home stretch of April! It is hard to believe, but tonight is Parent Night at SMS for all of our 5th graders who will be moving up next year. This is a great way to learn all the important information for this transition.
On May 7th and 8th, we will be hosting spring conferences at Archer Glen. Sign-ups will be coming home tomorrow afternoon around 3:30 pm, so please check your email/ParentSquare account then for more information. These days will be no school days for our students, and all families will have the opportunity to sign up for a time to meet with teachers. Some families take the long weekend for vacations during these days, but please be aware that we do not schedule formal conference make-ups outside of the days set aside for this purpose. Thank you for understanding.
Tomorrow is the Archer Glen Carnival! It is sure to be an amazing event and we appreciate all the effort and planning that goes into making this possible. Check out the links below for all the details about the event and how you can help out if you are interested.
If you have not done so, please consider completing the Parent and Caregiver Experience Survey below. We truly value the input of our families and would love to get a better understanding for each family's experience at Archer Glen! The survey will close on Tuesday, May 12.
Our staff will soon begin preparing classes for next year. This is a process we take very seriously and teams work hard to create balanced classes across each grade level. We look at all of the needs of our students including social/emotional, academic and behavior needs. Students are not placed directly with a teacher, but rather into a group of students. Teachers are assigned to class lists after balanced classes are prepared. As part of our process, we take into account parent input. If you have anything to share with us regarding the needs of your child as a learner, you can do so HERE. (This survey closes on Monday, May 11th at midnight.)
Just a few reminders to ensure we have safe arrivals and dismissals for the remainder of the year:
- As you are dropping off or picking up students, please be mindful to not block in our handicap parking spots and pull up all the way to the orange cone, as the space is available.
- If you are parking, parents should be escorting their children across the parking lot to the sidewalk. We do not allow students to enter the parking lot without an adult.
- To expedite our car line, please be mindful to alternate entry from Sunset between those turning right into campus and those turning left so that we are minimizing the traffic that backs up both eastbound and westbound on Sunset.
- Students who walk home without an adult have been reminded that they need to report directly home after school while we still have adults on campus to assist with crosswalk duty. Some students were staying after school to play on the playground or engage in a football game when there are no adults to supervise once dismissal is complete. In an effort to keep everyone safe and accounted for, we have asked students to walk home right after school and check in with their families before meeting up with friends to play.
Next week, our 4th/5th grade choir will have their Spring Concert on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. They have been working hard to prepare for the show and it is sure to be a good one!
We look forward to seeing everyone at one of the many activities coming up in the next week!
Kindly,
Sarah

Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey
Dear Parent/Caregiver,
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are conducting a survey in partnership with Studer Education to monitor our progress in creating a positive school experience for you and your child(ren). Your feedback is crucial in helping us identify areas for recognition and improvement.
The survey will ask you to select the school your child(ren) attends. Once you complete the survey for one school, you will have the option to provide feedback on another school, if you have a child at another school in the district. Providing feedback to each school should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. We encourage you to complete it in one sitting, as your responses will be saved once you click submit.
The Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey can be accessed here:
The survey runs from 4/13/2026 through 5/12/2026.
To maintain confidentiality of the Parent/Caregiver Survey, our partners at Studer Education will be administering the survey, managing the data collection, and aggregating the data to provide results reports to leaders.
Thank you for your partnership,
Sarah Woofter

The background check process can take 7-10 business days, so please allow sufficient processing time if you are planning to volunteer for a specific event.
